Crime Fiction
Work In Progress:
Vilomah (working title)
In the wake of a school shooting, a grieving community is beginning to take the road to recovery when a murder sends a shockwave through the town, touching everyone and leaving nobody unscathed. Set in contemporary Cornwall, Vilomah explores the themes of grief, family, and vengeance.
Longlisted for the CWA Debut Dagger Award 2024.

(Please note: after a lot of feedback, the title will be changed. Vilomah is a Sanskrit word meaning 'against the natural order' and is used to describe parents who have lost a child. In one way, an appropriate title, but due to it's difficulties in pronunciation and spelling, it would be difficult to promote)

TV Screenplays
Abomination
8x60' serialised crime drama

Abomination explores the long-lasting effects of child-on-child sexual abuse. It also touches upon struggles with mental health issues and what it is like to grow up queer in Cornwall. Spoken Word
In 2020, just before lockdown, I started to perform autobiographical monologues based on my experiences with mental health. I've performed several times since. Each performance took place in charity shows run by SLAM Kings Cross in London. These proved to myself that I'm not just an introvert, I'm actually an introverted show off.
It Is Not Okay
2nd February 2020, SLAMinutes Goes Mental (Vault Festival)

This monologue came about by being fed up with being told it's okay to not be okay and being angry at politicians who spout empty platitudes whilst underfunding mental health services. A sample of the performance can be seen below:
The One Who Came Next
3rd March 2022, SLAMinutes Does Kisschase (The Pleasance, Islington)

Why do I hate Valentine's Day? Let me count the ways... The monologue explores the capitalist exploitation of romance, toxic relationships, and grief. Heavy subject matter, but there are some laughs.
A Week In My Life
SLAMinutes Goes Mental Pandemic Edition (The Pleasance, Islington)

As the title suggests, this monologue explores a week in my life with the highs and lows of living with a personality disorder. Includes some awful singing. You've been warned.
